The Edison2 Very Light Car wins five of the ten million dollar prize in the Progressive Insurance Automotive X Prize competition. Each component of the Very Light Car has been scrutinized for achieving low weight and redesigned to maintain strength and deliver a simplified design. It is designed to reach a top speed over one hundred miles per hour and even incorporates an iPod driven sound system.
